Over the last few years, I have spoken to students from Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Kent, and Bath Spa University, have read at the LSE Literary Festival, the Whistable Oyster Festival, Herne Bay Festival and the Canterbury Festival, aboard a punt at night, on a decommissioned Light Vessel, in an Oxfam shop window (no one bought me), restaurant and in the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral. I’ve even read at the Troubadour, famous for offering Bob Dylan his first UK gig (and at which I learnt that the collective noun for poets might be cornucopia).
